Vulnerable Families

TREAD believes in supporting the most vulnerable. In and around the areas we work there are some cases that need specialised support that we cannot provide in our centres. As part of this project 16 youngsters are supported in their education, housing, clothing and are fed.

Some of our children are orphans, or have a single parent with a disability with no family to care for them, the alternative for some might have been street begging, child labour and even prostitution. TREAD supports these children until they leave education or become self sufficient. The programme has expanded to accommodate the needs in this poverty-stricken area of South India and now provides care under 3 main categories:
